Early childhood teachers are those who work with children before they enter grade school. Administrators include everyone from principals to administrative assistants. Administrators keep schools running smoothly. They enforce school rules, complete necessary paperwork, oversee educators and classes, and communicate with parents.
Secondary Education
Secondary education degrees prepare people to work as high school teachers. These teachers work with young adults in grades 8 through 12, depending upon the school system. High school teachers help prepare students for future careers and adult life. They are important role models and aid in the development of life skills and maturity in students.
Special Education
Special education teachers instruct students with special needs. These teachers focus not only on academic education of students, but also on building life skills and independence. Special education teachers have rewarding but challenging careers, and they often work one-on-one with students or in small group settings.
Teachers Aides and Interns
As class sizes continue to grow, the demand for qualified teachers’ aides and interns becomes greater and greater. Aides and interns assist with everything from teaching class to supervising recess and other activities. They help grade assignments, complete paperwork, and set up activities.
Childcare and Development
People with childcare and development degrees work as daycare and childcare supervisors and owners, in-home educators, and even as educational researchers and specialists.
